Avenue Pharmacy Branding

When my dad's pharmacy changed locations, they decided to update their branding as well. My dad asked me if I could digitize a logo they had sketched out of a mortar and pestle. I didn't think the logo they created would be very effective, but I created it, and then created my own version. They ended up going with my version, which is what you see on the left.

I thought the mortar and pestle would be too generic of a logo and wanted to give them something more unique. The mark I created uses the negative space in the 'A' to create a road, representing the avenue in their name.
When the pharmacy had their grand opening, they were looking for a way to get the word out and entice local residents to visit the new location. I designed a postcard for them using their new logo, announcing the new location and including information on a giveaway. Recipients had to bring the postcard into the new store in order to enter the giveaway, encouraging more visits.
I managed the project through completion, including selecting stock (C1S so the postcards could be written on), getting the mail list processed and managing deadlines. They got a great response to the postcard, with a lot of submissions for the contest, and immediate foot traffic in the new location.
